Rapid COVID Testing at Every OnPoint Location
Every OnPoint Urgent Care location offers fast, on-site COVID testing for patients with symptoms or a known exposure. Your test is processed right in the clinic, so your provider can review the results with you during your visit. No appointment, no referral and no waiting days for a callback.
Our clinics are staffed by physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who see patients of all ages, seven days a week.

When Should You Get a COVID Test?
Get tested as soon as you notice symptoms. If you were exposed but feel fine, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends testing at least 5 full days after your exposure. Symptoms can appear anywhere from 2 to 14 days after exposure, according to the CDC.
Common COVID symptoms include:
- Congestion or runny nose
- Cough
- Diarrhea
- Fatigue
- Fever or chills
- Headache
- Muscle or body aches
- Nausea or vomiting
- New loss of taste or smell
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Sore throat
COVID treatment works best when it starts early, so don’t wait to see if your symptoms pass.
How COVID Testing Works at OnPoint
A rapid COVID test is quick and easy at OnPoint. Here’s what to expect from the moment you walk in:
Test for COVID, Flu and Strep in One Visit
COVID, flu and strep throat share many of the same symptoms, from fever and body aches to a sore throat. If your provider suspects more than one could be the cause, we can test for all three during the same visit. You’ll leave with a clearer picture of what’s going on and how to treat it. Learn more about rapid flu testing at OnPoint.
A note on accuracy: rapid COVID tests are fast, but they can miss an infection in its early days. If your test is negative and you still have symptoms, the CDC recommends testing again 48 hours later.
After Your COVID Test
Once your results are in, your provider will walk you through what they mean and what comes next.
Urgent Care or the ER? Where to Go for COVID Symptoms
Most COVID symptoms can be evaluated and treated at urgent care. Some, though, are signs of a serious problem that needs a hospital right away.
If you think you may have a potentially life-threatening emergency medical condition, do not go to an urgent care center or walk-in clinic. Call 911 or go immediately to your nearest hospital emergency department.
When Walk-In Care Is the Right Call
When to Go to the ER Instead
Call 911 or go straight to the ER if you or someone you’re caring for has any of these emergency warning signs from the CDC:
Where Can You Get a COVID Vaccine?
OnPoint doesn’t offer COVID vaccines, but you can get one at your local pharmacy. In September 2026, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) reissued a statewide standing order that lets pharmacists give updated COVID vaccines without an individual prescription. Call your pharmacy ahead of time to confirm it has the vaccine in stock.
Flu shots are available at all six OnPoint locations without an appointment, and we offer several other vaccines as well.

We Accept Most Major Insurance Plans
OnPoint accepts most major insurance plans, including Aetna, Anthem BCBS, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare and Colorado Medicaid, with a few named exceptions. See the full insurance list to confirm your plan before your visit, or bring your insurance card and our front desk team can verify your coverage when you check in.
